In 1229, King Henry III granted Liverpool the right to have their own seal. That original seal was lost but an impression, created in 1352, was until recently, stored in the British Library, London. However, Liverbirds Inc. have been instrumental in campaigning successfully to have this returned home to Liverpool’s own museum.
This is a replica of that seal, created, cast and hand finished on Merseyside by our own Liver bird sculptor, Rick Myers.
